2024 marks a groundbreaking year for SIOF
with the birth of SolidFlow, an impossibly fluid pigment.
Yes, SolidFlow emerged from the innovative halls of SIOF, at our Pozzolo facility. But let’s be clear, this joyous creation is the result of a close collaboration between SIOF and a startup specializing in applying artificial intelligence to manufacturing processes. An incredibly ambitious challenge, entirely self-funded, it demanded three years of development and our full expertise. The reward? A truly extraordinary achievement!
SolidFlow couldn’t have come to life before 2023; the world simply didn’t have enough artificial intelligence in circulation. Now, a century later, SIOF is opening a new, promising chapter in pigment history. Needless to say, we’re thrilled to have created the first solid pigment that behaves like a liquid. And it’s so effortlessly compliant, dispersing without any coaxing. We’re so proud, in fact, that we’ve dedicated an entire website to it. Though newly born, SolidFlow truly deserves it.
